Chris Barlow is an emerging playwright, retired sound designer, and the host of the highly-educational web series Chris Tries to Review Wine and the hit spinoff Home Impairment (Where Chris Tries to Review Wine... with YOU!). He recently received his MFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, where he workshopped his plays The Heart is a Lonely Arsonist, My Rich Fucking Cousins in the Next Town Over, and Equity (or How Learned to Stop Worrying and Love My Student Loans).
His other work includes Chris Tries to Review Wine... LIVE! (performed at HERE Arts Center, The PIT, and more), the plays Condolences from the Future! (ANT Fest), Life of Leisure (Fordham Alumni Co.), Thank You For Sending Me an Angel (Horse Trade/Less Than Rent), Sun Giant (Random Access Theater), and The Big Country (Winner of the T. Schreiber New Works Project), as well as the sci-fi podcast anthology Places Like This: Wiretaps from Tomorrow.
Chris is a founding member and resident designer at Morgan Gould & Friends, the original sound designer of a couple plays you might have seen, and a member of the Dramatists Guild. Chris received his BA in Theater from Fordham Lincoln Center.
